LANUSA MUSIC
Lanusa is the music project of Nashville-born, New York-based songwriter Kathryn Nusa Logan. Her father was a touring folk musician and sound engineer, and she grew up singing with the Nashville Children’s Choir and studied guitar through the Nashville Metro Parks program with blues guitarist James “Nick” Nixon. Writing and singing in bands in highschool, her early songwriting was informed by artists like Ani DiFranco, Jonatha Brooke, and Paul Simon.
While attending the University of North Carolina School of the Arts for ballet and contemporary dance, Lanusa regularly performed at local venues in Winston-Salem, NC like The Rubber Soul and Foothills Brewing. After moving to New York she became a part of the Big City Folk community, hosted songwriter nights, and performed at notable venues like Rockwood Music Hall, Arlene’s Grocery, and Piano’s.
Lanusa’s discography includes the Skies | Floor EP (2010), Noah Feels August Like I Feel August (2013), and Skeletons as Leavers (2015), co-produced with Myles Rodenhouse at Douglass Street Records in Brooklyn. Praised by Skull and Bones Blog as “haunting, musically sophisticated, and beautiful,” Skeletons as Leavers showcases emotionally expressive compositions, sweeping melodies, and lyrics that reward close listening.
New releases expected in 2026.
